It’s officially summer, which means grilling season is upon us! Yummy food, friends, drinks, and did I mention yummy food? When I think of the perfect cookout it involves all of these things, but sometimes I get bored with the repetitive food choices. Don’t get me wrong, I love burgers and hot dogs, but sometimes I want a little more flavor and pizazz. You can make the most scrumptious pasta salad, or the perfect lemonade, but nothing compares to the main dish…the meat.
My husband and his friends have appetites like cavemen who haven’t ate anything in almost a week. Sometimes it’s hard to meet the needs of a human garbage disposal while trying to find something that we wives can even fit in our mouth. Where do you even start with that scenario? In my mind, something with bacon and/or cheese, is the solution. Let the brainstorming begin.
This juicy burger combined with the crunch of bacon is enough to make anyone start drooling. Add the spicy ranch on top, and I’ve officially created a serious addiction problem. This burger just works. It’s filled with cheese, bacon and mushrooms, so it’s as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. Even though this burger was exactly what I had in mind, I wanted to add a little more kick. The mixture of jalapeños and ranch was just the icing on the cake… or should I say, the sauce on the burger.
This burger is not only delicious, but it’s also easy to make. After you prep, the assembly is easy. Don’t have a grill? Don’t worry. I have made this more times indoors than I have on the grill. *It still cooks perfect in a skillet as well as in the oven. Sometimes the grill and I just don’t see eye to eye, it’s more of my husband’s thing. After creating this burger, I think it’s the least he can do.
